Becoming a Guest
Becoming a guest member starts with having an introduction meeting with the membership committee. In this meeting a general introduction about Junior Chamber International (JCI) will be given and specifically JCI Amsterdam International (JCI AI). After the general introduction it will be explained what JCI AI is all about, what JCI AI can mean for you and what we expect from our members. If the meeting is positive for both sides, you will be invited to join our member meeting and other activities. After experiencing a member meeting you´ll be asked to attend a committee meeting of your choice. This way you can experience firsthand the workings of the different teams and get an idea if JCI AI is something for you.
From Guest to Candidate Member
When you decide to join a specific committee, you will get some responsibilities and attend the regular committee meetings. You will be given a mentor who will be there for you in case you have any doubts or questions during this stage. This mentor will be someone outside the committee you´ve chosen. After a certain period of active participation, you will be invited to become a candidate-member. When becoming a candidate member a membership fee will be due. The membership fee should be paid in advance, for the current year (in proportionality).
From Candidate Member to Full Member
After being an active team member for the period of three to six months a member can be invited to become a full member. The membership team will advise the Board of JCIAI to initiate an official “pinning” procedure and during the next scheduled member meeting, the proposal will be presented to the members. When the proposal has been accepted, the candidate member will be pinned a member.
Every JCI full member receives a subscription to JCI Magazine, the JCI newsletters (via e-mail) and an exclusive JCI benefits program featuring valuable discounts for members.
